New publication: Climate change and human influences on sediment fluxes and the sediment budget of an urban delta

Happy to announce that our predictions for what will happen to the RMD in the future is now published at Anthropocene Coasts.

We have found that dredging will be the major driving force in the Rhine-Meuse delta area in the future and the effects will completely overwhelm climate change impacts. This trend is also identified globally as deltas that are home to major ports are altered by human interventions rapidly and in line with growing container ship size.

Huge thank you to my co-authors: Frances Dunn, Jaap Nienhuis, Marcel van der Perk & Maarten Kleinhans.
